Over the past 2 months, we’ve released many exciting news on the upcoming RSS3 Mainnet, including the RSS3 Mainnet Tokenomics and our roadmap toward the new chapters. While the team is working hard on the preparation, we’d like to spoil you with the new branding visuals, which you might have noticed as a sneak peek in the previous announcements.

A New Logo

While we appreciate our previous logo, we’ve realized that RSS3 has expanded its mission and coverage over the past 3 years – the former logo that does a great job of representing “linkage” or “connection” can no longer fully capture the key message of the RSS3 Mainnet. Therefore, after months of discussion and iterations, we finally came up with a new logo (and wordmark) that we believe can help address what RSS3 is.
As you might notice, this logo inherits the pixel/blockie style that we’ve progressively adapted (e.g., the iconography we’ve used for Social, Search, and AI). We find it a nice implication of the RSS3 Network consisting of nodes and various application modules. It also hints at the evolution of RSS3 from Testnet to Mainnet as the key visual elements turn from line to block. We end up with a little notch on the wordmark to resonate with the style of the logo and to show some attitudes = ]

As introduced in the previous announcement, the RSS3 Mainnet has a unique dual-sublayer design. It consists of the Data Sublayer (DSL) and the Value Sublayer (VSL) - and here comes my favorite part of the new logo:

Yes! Going back to the two sublayers and their importance, we extrapolate their logos from the main “R” - a design to indicate the Mainnet architecture.

A New Typeface

A few months ago, we switched to Poppins as our primary type - an open-source sans serif font that works well for both UI and graphics. It’s a well-balanced font that shows a sense of technology but is also not dull.

A New Color Palette

It might be hard for some to tell the difference, but since a while ago, we’ve shifted our primary RSS3 blue from #0072ff to #1477fb, to make it slightly more tender and a better solution for digital screens.
